Arbor Day 2022

Supporting local communities with free tree work.

Arbor Day 2022 our Beavers decided to change things up a little. Instead of donating trees for planting at schools, in two of our regions we donated time and tree work to two facilities, St Anne’s school in Whanganui and Te Omanga Hospice in Wellington. Being able to give back to our communities is incredibly important to our Beavers, and while the work may have been day-to-day the occasion wasn’t! In Christchurch our Beavers opted to donate and plant trees with Te Pā o Rākaihautū School, helping them create an orchard. It was a nice change of pace for our Beavers to help them develop a new garden.
